Who We Are

A Caring, Family Run Business

Beckcare Homes prides itself on being a family run business that has provided specialist support to people with a mental health and social care needs for nearly 30 years and has a reputation for putting people first. We work in partnership with mental health services and other organisations to deliver recovery – focussed accommodation and support for adults with mental health needs, Autism, ADHD and learning disabilities.

We Offer a Wide Range of Support

We are person-centred to meet the needs of those seeking independence within the community. We have properties based in Ilfracombe, Barnstaple, and Combe Martin. This is a mix of shared accommodation, flats and bedsits covering a wide range of support levels. We also offer community-based services – offering support within their own homes.

Individual Personalised Goal Plans

Beckcare Support is personalised to meet individual needs within their allocated support hours. We work to a specific Goal Plan to deliver our person-centred support services that are carefully designed around the personalisation agenda and specified outcomes assessed through The Care and Support (Eligibility Criteria) Regulations 2014 as highlighted. As well as individual support we provide group involvement, this includes participation in our Beckcare Club where various group activities are available. (Beckcare Club is currently unavailable due to Covid Restrictions)

With our personalised services and people-centered approach we work with you to achieve your goals and outcomes whilst being able to maintain living in your own home.

Beckcare Club

Beckcare club has been a success with our clients therefore we are delighted to be able to offer our facilities on a referral basis to outside clients. Within our facilities we operate our Beckcare club which enables us to have clients interact on a social basis and give the tools to interact within the community. We use this to promote wellbeing, social interaction, and inclusion. Within that the opportunity to talk with support workers on a less formal basis. (Coming soon depending on interest)

We are looking for individuals to join our friendly team at Beckcare homes. We require people who are honest, reliable, hardworking and organised. In house training will be given and along side this you be able to earn qualifications . The applicant will help support individuals to live as independently as possible.

Jobs

Duties vary as our support is designed to be person-centred and working towards goals within their support plans. You will need to offer support for the individual’s overall comfort and wellbeing and help people whom need support to live as independently as possible. Helping with food preparation and cooking, assist with basic personal hygiene and keeping a habitable home, assist with social interaction and help with budgeting. You will be providing interesting activities to stimulate and engage the service user. There is an element of paperwork involved within the role as you will have to record client notes and liaise with their worker, so some basic computer skills required. The successful applicant should be able to work alongside others as well as independently and be flexible with tasks. The placements are in Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. In house and Community Support positions available, will be based in one area but may need to cover shifts at the other placements. Driving would be preferred but not essential.
